Numbers rise in strike action at Telford

The Branch Committee are delighted to announce that applications for membership of the EIS have risen dramatically over the last 2 months. Dozens of applications have been received by EIS headquarters by members of lecturing staff willing to make a significant financial sacrifice by withdrawing their labour in protest of the non-negotiated imposition of Protocol National.

This level of solidarity among colleagues should send a strong message to the Principalship that members of the EIS at Edinburgh’s Telford College will not accept inequality of any kind.

I hope the dispute gets sorted out very soon. I cannot handle being with a lecturer, but I also want a fair environment for them.
