"....the problem of inequality"

"I have advocated policies that are right in the centre of the debate in the Labour Party, ........to tackle the problem of inequality. There are too many people on temporary work, agency work, working for a sub-contractor, who don't actually have the rights for which we've legislated enforced, and they're not getting the protection that they need."

The above quote was made by Peter Hain the then Labour Party deputy leadership candidate and Northern Ireland Secretary on The Politics Show, BBC One Sunday 03 June 2007, 34 Days after the Principalship at Edinburgh's Telford College announced their deal with 3rd party employment agency Protocol National.

I would like to lend my support to the Lecturers at Telford. It is very worrying to hear that public funds are being used in such a way.

I am in full support of Telford Lecturers. Congradualations to protcol nation for developing a brand of disposable teachers for the disosable generation, Aiding Britian on it's way to becoming a nation of idiots.
Surely anyone reading the press lately would be aware that the government is trying to influx the number of graduates into teacher training courses. This truely atonishing move removes any appeal teaching might have to future lecturers and stop developement of lecturers and pupils alike. Thus losing the reputable name the college has.
I may also point out that anyone studying to be a teacher will tell you a large portion of teaching is getting to know students abilities and gaining their trust. How do protcol nation propose that class time will be used efficiantly when teachers are moving on every couple of months.
Lecturers and teachers perform an invaluable role in the education system

The tutors at Telford are absolutely fantastic. Anyone who wants to mess up a system that already works should open their eyes. To introduce a company only interested in profit rather than education of its students is insane. Morale will fall and with it, the college reputation. This should not be allowed to happen, get Protocol out.
